ANGLICAN CHINESE MISSION[1][]

On Wednesday an interesting social was tendered in the Mission Hall, Frederick street, to the English teacher by the scholars of the mission. The Rev E. Y. P. Lee presided over a large gathering.

The programme was opened by a short speech of welcome by one of the scholars (George Wong), and songs were contributed by Mrs. Li Kwang-Heng; Misses Ashenden, Hansen, McLellan, Chin Ting (2), Wong Tong, (2). Musical selections were given by Mrs. Li Kwang Heng; Rev E. Y. P. Lee, Mr. Baker, and T Chin Ting. Recitations by Miss Jones and Masters Sing Kee; and Moy Fong. There were several competitions, the prizes being given by Messrs. Chin Ting, Wong She and Wah Kees. After an excellent supper and votes of thanks the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem and cheers for the English teachers.
