In 1913, Han Fon operated a laundry business at 25 Frederick Street.

On the night of 18 March 1913, upon hearing his neighbour Charlie Yung Sing call for help in Cantonese, rushed to his aid, finding him injured after being assaulted by Vincent Furness and George Patrick Macnamara. [1]
