Laundry, listed in the International Chinese business directory of the world (1913) as being in Taranaki Place (Now the Te Aro Park end of Dixon Street, Te Aro[1][2]), Wellington.[3]

On 6 November 1908, the New Zealand Times reported that Hop Lee, in Wellington, donated 10s to the funds of Wellington Hospital. It was noted that Chinese residents in Wellington had contributed a total of £111 8s. [4]

In November 1928 the business donated £1 1s to the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum Fund.[5]

The owner was a member of the Toi Shan Association.[5]
