Ngan Chong (Born at Canton) - Age 18 - Arrived aboard Maheno - Certificate issued in Wellington 14 February 1922 - Paid Poll Tax of £100^[1]

On 9 September 1944, the Evening Post reported that Ngan Chong pleaded guilty to charges of selling apples at a price that was not in conformity with a price order (Fined £5) and of failing to display prominently copies of price orders (Fined £1).^[2]
