Operated a fruit shop at 16[1][2] Courtenay Place[3][4][5][6], around 1892[3] - 1900[4]

The New Zealand Police Gazette of 25 March 1892[3] reported that between 10 and 11.30 a.m. on the 12th March 1892, his shop was entered by means of a duplicate key, and about £2 stolen[3].

In February 1895, he was fined for opening his shop on the half-holiday of 6 February.[7]

On 12 October 1894, the New Zealand Mail reported that he had been issued with his Letter of Naturalisation.[8]

On 1 May 1900, the Evening Post published in the Advertisement section, a plea from fruit shop owners Wong Heong, Chow Fong, Ngan Lee, L. A. Pat, Yee Wah, and Yung Kee, that people not judge all Chinese run fruit shops on the basis of the poor sanitary conditions of found at one Chinese owned fruit shop.[4]
