Yen Yep (b? 1848? - d Wellington 2 July 1918)[1] was a gardener[1] who lived at 3 Haining Street, Te Aro, Wellington.[1]

It was believed that Yen Yep had been suffering from poor health during the three years leading to his passing, and at his inquest, signs of tuberculosis were noted in his lungs.[1]

Yen Yep was thought to have been about 70 years old, and had no relatives in New Zealand.[1]

His headstone is located in Karori Cemetery, Public 2 Row H, and has a tree growing directly in front of it.[1]

The Friends of Karori Cemetery are interested in knowing more about him.[1]
